What:
First Lutheran Church in Venice is pleased to hold their annual one-day Women's Retreat again at St. Andrew's. This year's theme is from Romans 10:15, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Presenters Becky Clausen and Dana Toma will lead us in a discussion of the Book of Romans, the Good News of Jesus Christ our Saviour, and our identity in Christ which is given to us in our baptism.

A continental breakfast will be served at 9 am and lunch at 12. A donation of $15 is requested to offset costs.

We are blessed to once again celebrate the birth of our Savior with special music from the Palisades Symphony trio and the Reverend Dennis Gano on the organ! You don't want to miss the beautiful music and the sweet message of salvation that has come to us through the child born in Bethlehem!

~Thanksgiving Eve Service!~
When: Wednesday November 23, 2011 7-8 pm Pie reception follows the service, generously provided by the Four Square congregation. This year, Mount Calvary will continue to uphold our tradition of hosting our fellow Christian congregations for this special evening. The service will feature three preachers: Pastor Perling from Mount Calvary Lutheran, Dr. Price from Beverly Hills Four Square Church, and Rabbi Brumbach from Ahavat Zion. Join us as we are reminded of all the riches that have been given to us through our Savior Jesus Christ - faith, forgiveness of sins, and eternal life! |

OCTOBER EVENTS
~Reformation Day Celebration!~
The Los Angeles Lutheran churches have traditionally chosen a different location every year to join together in commemorating our heritage and the great truths that were defended during the time of the Reformation in the 1600's.
This year's celebration will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church
